KITTERY – The ability to transform a vision into photo-realistic renderings and 3D virtual reality is a critical tool for architects, real estate developers, interior designers, and builders. It’s a niche market that has served Kittery-based design studio Tangram 3DS well. The firm is celebrating 18 years in business and has developed an international reputation for its technological and design expertise.
With its stable of top 3D visualization artists, Tangram 3DS specializes in photo-realistic renderings, animation, virtual reality and graphic design. And now, according to Tangram 3DS founder and CEO Stefan Vittori, the firm has expanded its staff and is offering a new suite of marketing services that include branding, website design, photography and video production.
“Our core strength of being at the cutting edge of design and technology continues to be an essential tool for real estate marketing and clients seeking creative presentations. We enable people to see how architectural, construction, and interior design plans will truly look,” Vittori said.
He says he’s excited with the growth of the company over nearly two decades: “We now offer a broad array of services to streamline marketing for our clients. Having a one-stop shop improves efficiency, communication, delivery, and makes everything more cost effective.”
Tangram 3DS has achieved an impressive reputation within the architectural visualization industry, including an award of excellence by the American Society of Architectural Illustrators.
The agency was recently featured in 3Disciple magazine, the definitive archviz publication.
“Our greatest strength is teamwork,” Vittori said. “Clients see us as partners who are fully immersed in their projects from the beginning so we can transform their visions into interactive visual experiences that tell a compelling story.”
Tangram 3DS is headquartered in Kittery, Maine with offices in Columbus, Ohio and Poland. The firm now employs 20 people. With more than 3,000 projects under its belt, Tangram 3DS excels at transforming clients’ visions into reality.
One recently completed project involved developing marketing material for the iconic Olympic Tower in the heart of NYC. The historic building is owned by Oxford Properties Group, a large real estate investment company in Canada.
“Tangram 3DS was a super thoughtful, cooperative team that worked really hard to create the best product that truly represented the property and our vision so that our customers could see the potential of the space,” Oxford Vice President Adam Frazier said. “They helped us tell the story of Olympic Tower and allowed our customers to imagine what could be. We look forward to showing it off.”
Tangram 3DS developed renderings and 360 degree tours for two recent Seacoast development projects: Brick Market and Jimmy’s on Congress. The work helped Portsmouth residents and city officials visualize the scale of projects and their impact on downtown.
At the newly opened Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club, architect Andrew Sidford said, “Tangram 3DS models were precise and realistic. It was a huge help for the Labrie brothers because the renderings were able to show the general public and the Historic Commission how the finished project would look. Having an accurate portrayal of the future contributes to the public’s understanding and excitement of building projects.”
Tangram 3DS has also been a partner with the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, helping the community visualize the renewal, renovation and new developments at the shipyard.
